Hello my little loves! I started @thelaparchives as a means of documenting our lap around Australia. Our own little home movies to look back on and cherish forever and to remind our daughter that we were once hell cool and fun. I have always had such a passion for photography but when our daughter was born it really sparked me to capture the little moments in between, the imperfect perfection, the grubby hands and silly antics. When I am not behind the lens I am studying to be an Occupational Therapist.

My name is Joel. I grew up on the Mid North Coast of NSW in the small coastal town of Coffs Harbour. I spent a lot of my time surfing, fishing, and camping all up and down the coastline. When I wasn't flicking a line, I was working as a carpenter, daydreaming about that next camping spot. To be sending it around the Country now with my partner and the grom is an absolute dream come true, even if I do spend most of my time getting bogged on the beach.

Laney loo loo Lemon, aka our fearless leader! She is the perfect mix of Flea and Eliza from The Wild Thornberrys, with her infectious energy and love of nature and animals. Our little girl has already spent half of her life on the road, with the hope that this experience will ground her on this earth and help her appreciate the beauty of the world around her. Her current obsessions are her bunny teddy, her dolly and eating every god damn thing in this caravan.
